Introduction

You need a solution to store and manage your contact center operation databases directly on Wolkvox servers, aiming to centralize all information and avoid managing databases through external tools while maintaining the security and availability of your data.

In contact center operations, managing large volumes of customer, campaign, and interaction data is crucial. Traditionally, this may involve using external databases that require their own administration and maintenance. Wolkvox MySQL offers an alternative that centralizes this information on Wolkvox's own servers, simplifying infrastructure and ensuring data consistency. This service is designed for users with MySQL language knowledge who want to leverage Wolkvox's capacity to store their databases directly.

Configuration

Wolkvox MySQL is a service that allows you to store your operation databases directly on Wolkvox servers. By activating this service, all your information is centralized, eliminating the need to manage databases through external tools and providing more direct and secure access to your data.

Important Considerations Before Activation:

  • MySQL Knowledge: It is essential to have knowledge of the MySQL language for managing and manipulating databases once the service is activated.
  • Irreversibility: Once the Wolkvox MySQL service is activated, it cannot be deactivated. Therefore, it is crucial to carefully evaluate whether this service fits your operation's needs before proceeding with activation.
  • Audit Log: The activation of the service is recorded in the "Audit Log" of Wolkvox Manager to ensure traceability of changes.
  • Availability: This service is only available in the Wolkvox Manager desktop (local) application, not in the web version.

Details for Connecting to the Wolkvox MySQL Service:

To connect and manage your database once the service is activated, the following parameters are used:

  • Connection IP or Host: The IP address for connection is always 34.138.118.166.
  • Connection Port: The standard port for MySQL is 3306.
  • Access Username: The username will be provided at the time of service activation.
  • Access Password: The initial password will also be provided when activating the service. This password can be changed later from the client where you connect to the database (e.g., MySQL Workbench, DBeaver, etc.).
  • Database Name: The database name will correspond to the name of your operation in Wolkvox.

Process to Activate Wolkvox MySQL:

  1. Click on the Configuration button located in the top right corner of the interface.
  2. Within the configuration window, navigate to the Integrations tab.
  3. In the integrations section, select the Wolkvox MySQL option.
  4. Check the box to Enable Wolkvox MySQL.
  5. Provide a Username and Password for database access. It is crucial to remember these credentials as they will be used for access.
  6. In the "Add IP" section, you must add the IP addresses from which connections to the MySQL database will be allowed. This acts as an additional security layer. Click "Add IP" to add each authorized IP address.

Maximum Calculation of Allowed IPs:

To calculate the maximum number of IPs you can register in the Wolkvox Manager MySQL integration tool, use the following formula:

  • Allowed IPs = (Call center licenses / 10) + (PBX licenses / 50)
