Introduction

The "Responder Chat" component allows you to send messages, attach files, use buttons, and load preconfigured templates to interact with customers within a ChatBot flow in Wolkvox Studio. Additionally, it enables the use of variables to personalize the customer experience and automate communication.

This component is part of the "Basics" component group and is only available in ChatBot-type routing points.

With this component, you can:

  • Send text messages, images, documents, or stickers.
  • Use interactive buttons (in web chat or official WhatsApp connector).
  • Personalize messages with variables.
  • Send predefined WhatsApp and Facebook templates.
  • Automate responses without waiting for customer interaction.

Configuration

Configuration in the "Messages" Tab

  • Message: Write the text you want to send. You can include variables and emojis (in Windows: press Win + . to open the emoji menu).
  • Attached File Link: Insert the public URL of a file, image, or sticker (format: WebP, resolution: 512x512 px, size: ≤100 KB).
  • Buttons (Web - Official WhatsApp): Add buttons separated by commas. The customer’s selection will be stored in the txt-query variable, allowing you to design conditional routes in the flow. WhatsApp allows a maximum of 3 buttons per message, while web chats support up to 20 buttons.
  • Continue Chatbot: Check this box if you want the flow to continue automatically without waiting for a customer response.
  • Save the changes.

Configuration in the "Advanced" Tab (Using Templates)

Templates allow you to send preconfigured messages for WhatsApp (Cloud API or Business API) and Facebook Messenger. Each template type serves a different purpose (quick replies, lists, products, carousels, etc.), enabling advanced automation and a better customer experience.

  1. Go to the "Advanced" tab.
  2. Select the template from the dropdown menu (e.g., send list message (api cloud), send catalog template (api business)).
  3. Click "Load Template".
  4. Edit the loaded JSON with the information you want to send.
  5. Check or uncheck the "Continue Chatbot" box based on your flow logic.
  6. Click "Save".

Using Variables

Within messages and templates, you can use variables to personalize communication with dynamic data, such as the customer’s name or operation details.

Sending Stickers

Available only with the WhatsApp Cloud API connector. Requirements:

  • Size: 512x512 px.
  • Weight: ≤100 KB.
  • Format: .webp
  • Send via public URL in the "Attached File Link" field.
