WhatsApp API improvements
Agent Assignment and Error Transparency is an update designed to optimize outbound management and technical diagnostics. On the one hand, it introduces the optional agent_id field (which must correspond to the user registered in the operation associated with the token). When provided, the system simulates dispatch from AgentBox by creating or updating the outbound chat as an active interaction, ensuring that the customer's response is automatically routed back to the assigned agent. On the other hand, the improvement optimizes response handling when failures occur on the Meta platform by clearly and securely exposing the exact or interpreted details of the error returned by the provider. This improves visibility when consuming the service and eliminates the need to review traces or contact support to diagnose delivery failures.
Benefits
- Traceability and Conversational Continuity: Ensures that customer responses to official templates are routed directly to the agent who initiated the interaction.
- Independent Diagnostics: Allows developers and integrators to identify and correct sending errors in real time by receiving the exact details returned by Meta.
- Reduced Support Costs: Reduces dependence on manual reviews of internal logs or technical escalations to understand message delivery failures.
- Guaranteed Compatibility: Maintains service flexibility by preserving the API's original behavior when the optional agent_id field is not provided.
