New Functionality to Test IVR Flows Directly from wolkvox Studio

wolkvox Manager incorporates a new functionality that allows testing each IVR Routing Point flow directly from the wolkvox Studio design screen. This eliminates the need to make real calls or rely on external configurations to validate the flow's behavior.

Now, when working on a voice routing point, the user can run an immediate simulation directly from the design canvas using the Play button on the toolbar. When doing so, a test softphone is deployed, embedded in the right-side panel. From there, it is possible to enter test variables such as the Origin Number ($ani) and Customer ID ($id_customer), interact with the numeric keypad (DTMF), and follow the flow execution step by step.

During the test, the system visually highlights the components the IVR is progressing through, making it easy to precisely understand where the simulated call is in the flow. Additionally, at the bottom, you can review the generated records in the Compile Log and Debug Log tabs. This allows you to validate messages, logical decisions, TTS components, integrations, and any other action designed within the routing point.

It is important to note that before running the test, the flow must be compiled. Otherwise, the simulation will be based on the last compiled version, not necessarily the most recent changes made in the design or component configuration.

Benefits

  • Efficiency in Design: Allows validating the IVR flow from the same configuration screen without depending on external tests.
  • Faster Diagnosis: Facilitates identifying errors or logical deviations in real time using Compile Log and Debug Log.
  • Integrated Simulation: Centralizes editing, flow navigation, and functional testing in a single interface.
  • Step-by-Step Validation: Visually displays the call path through each component of the flow.
  • Greater Operational Autonomy: Speeds up production deployment by allowing the flow designer to perform functional tests immediately.
  • More Controlled Testing: Allows simulating input variables and DTMF dialing without using real calls.

Usage

  1. Log in to wolkvox Studio and open an IVR-type Routing Point. Design or adjust the flow according to the logic you need to implement.
    • Compile the flow before starting any test. This step is essential to ensure that the most recent changes are executed.
  2. Click the "Play" button on the top toolbar.
  3. A test panel with a virtual phone appearance will open on the right side. In this panel, you can:
    • Enter the Origin Number ($ani).
    • Enter the Customer ID ($id_customer).
    • Use the DTMF numeric keypad to interact with the flow.
    • Run the test and watch as the system visually highlights the flow path in real time.

  • Check the "Debug Log" tab at the bottom to validate the technical execution of the process.
  • If you need to adjust audio devices for the test, use the button with the blue gear icon, where you can select the microphone and headphones.
  • Make the necessary changes, recompile, and run a new test as many times as needed.

Microsoft Entra ID Now Available in Manager Web and Agent Web

wolkvox incorporates integration with Microsoft Entra ID in its web version for wolkvox Manager and wolkvox Agent, enabling a centralized authentication scheme under OAuth 2.0 for the access of administrators and agents.

With this new feature, operations can unify the login process using corporate identities managed from Microsoft, avoiding the need to maintain independent credentials within the platform. This allows for a more standardized and secure access experience, especially in environments where centralized user control, corporate authentication policies, and Single Sign-On (SSO) mechanisms are required.

Functionally, the integration is configured from the Integrations module in wolkvox Manager, specifically in the Entra ID option, where the integration is enabled, Tenant ID and Client ID data are registered, and the single login parameter can be activated. Once configured, the Azure AD login option will appear on the web login screens of Manager and Agent, allowing users to log in with their corporate account.

This functionality is designed to strengthen security and simplify identity management in operations that already work with the Microsoft ecosystem.

Benefits

  • Business Security: Strengthens access protection through centralized Microsoft Entra ID policies and the OAuth 2.0 standard.
  • Unified Access Experience: Allows agents and administrators to authenticate with their corporate identity without managing additional credentials in wolkvox.
  • Centralized Administration: Makes it easier for the IT team to enable, modify, or revoke access from the Microsoft console.
  • Greater Operational Efficiency: Reduces the dispersion in user management across different platforms.
  • Reliable Access: Leverages Microsoft's authentication infrastructure to support login to Manager Web and Agent Web.
